Collection/Billing Specialist- Sunrise, FL
Job Overview
The Collection Specialist is responsible for managing an assigned account portfolio to ensure timely collection of past-due amounts and assist in resolving billing and customer issues while minimizing bad debts. This will be achieved through direct contact with customers regarding past due amounts while providing the highest level of customer service.
Primary Responsibilities
- Maintain strong internal and external customer relations.
- Achieve daily call volume goals.
- Identify and negotiate payment arrangements on past due balances within collection guidelines and laws.
- Provide updates by identifying any issues impacting collections, reasons for being past due, and actions being taken to collect or resolve disputes.
- Offer solutions to customers who are experiencing problems and objections to collections.
Basic Qualifications
- 1-3 years of collections/credit experience.
- Experience in handling a large volume of small-dollar portfolios with outbound call goals.
- Must be detail-oriented and highly organized.
- Proficiency in PC and MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Ability to manage incoming calls and input customer service requests as needed. Global Edge.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel to input and track service team payroll
- Efficient time management to handle multiple projects simultaneously, including prioritizing, organizing, and planning effectively to meet all deadlines.
- Ability to function effectively both independently and as a team member.
- Self-motivated, with a proven ability to learn quickly and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong customer service skills.
- Experience with Global Edge or other ERP software preferred.
- Other duties as assigned by the branch manager.
- Completion of a satisfactory background check and drug screen is required. Other duties as assigned
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
